First time at Light Church?

  • Most people choose to dress casually, but please wear whatever you feel comfortable in!

  • You'll be greeted by our welcome team who will be near the entrance. They’ll be able to help you and answer any questions you may have.

  • We run kids church during Sunday services for children aged 2-11 years old. Sign them up at the welcome desk. Our kids join us for the first few songs at the start of the service, then they go out to their groups. kids church is run by DBS-checked volunteers.

  • We start at 10:30am with a few songs and the words will be on the big screen for you. If you don’t know the songs, just relax and listen. Feel free to sing, clap, tap your feet – whatever you are comfortable with! Most people will stand during the songs, but equally, feel free to sit if you wish.

    When the children go their groups the adults continue in worship. This is followed by a Bible-based talk.

    Sometimes we might pray for people. Sometimes we might share in communion, which is taking bread and wine (which is actually blackcurrant juice).

  • We start at 10:30am and we encourage you to arrive in good time. The service will usually run for around 1 hour 45 minutes.

    We'll serve tea and coffee after the service too. Its a great time to get to know some new friends.

  • Guests can use the church car park on Franklin Road. which is a few yards further down Franklin Road - on the right-hand side as you travel down the road.

    Please park considerately if you park on the roads around the church.

    We also encourage our church members to park at Thistley Hough Academy.
